The clubs AGM is being held at 7pm on Sunday 7th Feb at the Angel Hotel Lavenham

The Clubs awards night took place at the Angel hotel Lavenham with Ged Turner picking up the best batsman for the year, Gareth Boon picking up the best bowler and somewhat of a suprise was Gary Nice being votede as the clubs players player
Nice was in shock to win the award and said after" This is probably one of the highlights of my career"

Fixtures for the forthcoming 2010 season are now up to view on the fixtures page with the club again competing in Division 3 of the Hunts County Sunday league

Still to be decided for the season is the Captain, Groundsman and rumors are circuling that Ben Bellward is stepping down as Chairman

Winter nets will be taking place and will be posted on here when the date is sorted

Lavenham captain Craig Boon has sent shockwaves through the cricketing world with the revolation that he is to step down as skipper at the end of the season
This news comes as a major shock to the Lavenham players who have enjoyed successive promotions under Boon in the last two seasons
A quote from seam bowler Simon'Freddie' Theobald said 'We were all in the dressing room during our home game against Lakenheath when the skip handed out these letters to us, at first we didn't know what it was about but then the whole room went really quiet i don't think any of the players knew what to do that were all totally in shock!!'

The news comes a month ahead of Lavenham's biggest game of the season against the Bunbury All Stars
It is not known who is to replace Boon for next season with ex Skipper Wigens ruling himself out of the job, whoever takes over sure has a big job on their hands to match the success of Boon, one name being touted is Simon Theobald who (without actually looking through the records) is the most successful captain ever!!
We will have to wait and see on who is up to the job

Lavenham Cricket Club will be appearing on Sky Sports 1 programme Cricket AM on Saturday July 18th
The programme starts at 9am so tune in and support the Lavenham players!!!!!
